Modernizing the Enterprise Identity Platform

Active Directory is without question the most successful IAM platform in history. Over its 20-year lifetime, AD has provided robust, scalable, and extensible IAM services to at least 80% of all enterprise IT organizations. But AD was designed for a different time and a different IT environment, and the rapid changes in enterprise IT have pushed AD to the "hey you kids, get off of my lawn!" stage of its life. In this session, Gil Kirkpatrick discusses what made AD successful, what it's fundamental weaknesses are today, and what to look for in an IAM platform that can serve enterprise needs for the next 20 years.
